NW Jazz
NWJazzworks is the agency for the development of jazz activity in the north west of England. The three main areas that concern them are the jazz musician, the jazz venue/promoter and the jazz audience. They strive for an increase in the quality and quantity of performance opportunities, whilst encouraging more people to come out and hear live jazz.
The website Harper James has designed for NWJazzworks is quite an achievement: as the regional jazz development agency, we rely on our website to be the 'public face' of the organisation, so the site needs to be simple to navigate for people visiting it for the first time, but also have a complex but flexible content manager for us to organise the many strands of information we need to administer. It contains all you'd need to know - audiences, musicians or industry operators that users can edit and update themselves... We can't begin to tell you everything it does in a paragraph!
Creating a site that the region's entire jazz community can use as a 'one stop shop' has resulted in what we believe to be the most comprehensive such tool within the jazz sector in this country - we're lucky and proud that it is another innovation for the North West.
